    Heavy Gunner? Empty Heavy Gunner?

    Post by Killyouno5 Sat Nov 15, 2008 4:46 am

Most of you newer people to airsoft may be asking what the differance between a heavy gunner and a support gunner is well really they are not that different both have larger guns that are used to support the average rifleman and they both use these guns to lay down a ton of fire. But there are a couple of differances between the two. A support gunner is someone who has a large gun and normally goes out with the riflemen and helps give fire onto targets that they cannot kill. The heavy gunner also does this only his gun will most like be a m4 or another variant that is upgraded and has more fire power than other men with the same gun. They are lighter than the support gunner and more mobile but they also dont have the intimidation factor that a support gunner with a m249 would have. If you have more questions pm me and i will try to answer any question you have.

i disagree with that m4 does not seem as intimadating being a con. yes i know intimidation changes the enemies mentality and makes him weaker but as a great young mind once said

Well you should never underestimate people only a guy with a m4 made to be more like a support gun will in fact bring more chaos to the other team.

you show how a m249 is more intimidating and i say never under estimate the odd man out
so all in all we both have are sides lets leave it at it that and hope new airsofters see both sides

Except why settle for being a good player with a bad gun, when you can be a good player with a good gun. And intimidation is a major factor to winning a match.

I personally like the Thompson M1A1. It has been in so many war/gangster movies, and is known as such a fierce gun that it gives a tremendous fear factor when using it.

But if Someone is afraid of you, they are just that step closer to losing.

A player can only be underestimated once, but he can be feared forever.

Well let me say this. If you have every carryed a m249 you know how heavy it is like 15-20lbs and not only will the other team cower when you walk buy but all respect you for carrying it. Most people know that a person with a m249 is usaly the strongest and fastest (without it.) Imagin carring 20 more lbs then every one else and still as fast as them. Then when you pick up and m4 you will be much faster then anyone on your team.

well considering i am the biggest on the team (not weight wise) i am probably the best person to carry it around not to mention i work out often so i have more muscle mass then the friends i got to play thus making me the best candidate i'm not trying to brag because i haven't seen lonesniper or the other guys but i am the oldest of all of his friends and him so it does give me a slight advantage. I really don't mean to sound cocky or any thing.

I disagree it is a common miscomception that support is aim in the gereral direction and open up. But really the support gunner has to be able to aim at the exact spot the shots are comming from and know what the gun will do and how far the bullets will go while being accurate. Now yes there is less aiming then lets say a sniper but you still have to be good with the gun you have.

Yeah , unless you are a newbie , they spray the target , when more experienced players aim and gently fire .
