hey wanted yer opinion on how to properly start a team. right now were not even close to being an actual team we only have mediocre guns but by the end of the year were gonna spend up to 1500 dollars a person on gear/guns but we only have 8 people soon 2 be 10. were planning on expanding. were are all very young in fact i am the oldest and I'm only 13 so were not gonna really start going to tournaments till were older, like 16 so I'm gonna start training this team because only 3 people have played air soft 4 a while. that would be me my bro and friend victor and we've been playing for about 4 maybe 5 years but the rest of them have no experience besides 1 who has used real guns to hunt. so back on topic we have a good 2 years to practice so i want to get all the practice we can, and to do that i need all your ideas on training. we can train frequently cause all my teammates only live like 2 streets down so we can frequented train. so please help thanks every1

Re: need opinion
Ok, the first thing you need to do is get your team together and start some discussions about the team. Here is what you need to figure out on your first meeting.
Who is in Charge? (to be referred to now as Captain)
Who is second in command? (To be referred to now as First Lieutenant).
Who is third in command? (To be referred to now as Sergeant)
Basically you want some form of command, because if the captain is shot, and no one knows who to follow you might be in trouble. (This is for a team, not a group like the airsoft fanatics united, which works with a democratic system outside of individual teams).
Second topic of discussion
What uniform will the team wear?
Choices are:
Marine style digital: http://www.captaindaves.com/shop/media/BDU-F67043.jpg
Army style digital: http://www.outinstyle.com/Merchant2/graphics/products/detail/RCO-8695_d.jpg
Woodland style camo: http://www.armynavyshop.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/woodlandbdu.jpg
Tiger Stripe style camo: http://www.captaindaves.com/shop/media/BDU-R7990.jpg
Obviously the second thing you need to consider with your uniform is the terrain, if you are playing in the desert then you need desert colors, maybe consider buying both. Army style might be able to be used in desert and woodland.
I also suggest buying the following patches: Group patches if you belong to one, worn on the right shoulder (different from a team), custom team patch, worn on the left shoulder, name patch worn over the left beast (DON"T LAUGH!).
Being organized like this will make the team look better, etc.
The third thing you need to discuss is:
Team positions, you already have the first-third in command, I suggest these people NOT be snipers or spotters.
With 10 people I suggest 4 main rifleman, 4 snipers (2 snipers and 2 spotters that make 2 sub-teams of sniper/spotter, sniper/spotter), and 2 support Rifleman. Obviously the Captain, First Lieutenant, and Sergeant would make up either the main rifleman or the support rifleman. The snipers/spotters will be scouting a lot, and will be away from the team a lot, so it would be difficult for them to be in command too.
The fourth subject for discussion
What equipment will everyone have? I suggest the two snipers have the same rifle, the two spotters have the same rifle, the 4 main rifleman have the same rifle, and the 2 support rifleman have the same rifle. This way upgrades for the snipers/spotters/main/support rifleman will be the same for everyone in that sub-group, as well as repairs, etc. Plus it also looks more professional.
Advice
I suggest the support rifleman use the SAW machine gun, and the main rifleman use a M16 or an M4, because depending on the manufacturer the clips are interchangeable and this may come in handy. For the snipers/spotters, well, I use the UTG L96, and the M14 is a good spotter rifle, but I suggest doing research for a sniper rifle more upgradable. Also, everyone should have a backup pistol, I suggest everyone get the same pistol for all the reasons listed above. The exception is the support rifleman, who I suggest change the pistol holster on his vest for the 2 extra clip holders.
Everyone except for the snipers should obtain a tactical vest, the snipers might need to be lighter weight, and they won't require as many clips. Their clips are smaller anyway, easier to carry.
The firth area of discussion
Training time and activity, refer to my various training post as well as the training page on my website at www.os-lupus-airsoft.com which is a sub-page within the getting started page.
You should also keep records of what everything is going to cost, so you have a good idea about prices.
OK I am forgetting something, but it is late and I am tired, so I'll post this for now and update later.

Re: need opinion
Ok so really just find out what type of enviroment you will be in when you go to the events. Try to find out what type of senarios they play and train them. Do reenactments of past battles and see what you can improve on. This is all I can tell you without knowing the enviroment and the people you are going to play with. Try to use peoples strengths. Like if someone is patient then there you go a sniper. If someone is a heavy shooter then there you go a support gunner. Learn as much as you can about the people you are going to play with.

Re: need opinion
Like I said, if you are the commander you do not want to be the sniper. In My opinion you don't need a CQB gun, because if you find yourself in close quarters, it would have been better for all the main rifleman to purchase tactical M16s as opposed to one guy having a CQB gun.
The downside you have as a team is that you guys are young, you don't have to work yet and you don't have the money that older people who work do. The upside is that you are young and you do not have to work so you have free time. You should take every saturday and sunday to train, I suggest physical training and airsoft training. For different physical training just ask your parents, because there are actually different types of pushups. Refer to my training post for airsoft training exercise.
A grenadier? Buy everyone at least two (2) tornado airsoft grenades, chances are most of you won't use them, but you now have 10 grenadiers who also serve a second function.
One(1) DM (designated marksman?) Train EVERYONE regardless of what weapon they use to shoot like a sniper. Train them like the marines, a rifleman first, and a blank second. Then you will have 10 grenadiers and 10 DMs who each serve yet ANOTHER function.
You still need a spotter, because snipers do not operate alone. The best snipers in the world did not operate alone excluding maybe top secret classified missions where even their survival rating was extremely low.
If you train correctly and get the correct gear then you can have 10 grenadiers, 10 rifleman who can each shoot like a sniper, 10 weapon specialist, etc etc.
Remember, you have a few years to collect all the equipment that you want/need. So take your time and think everything through.

Re: need opinion
I am making this a double post on purpose, because the topics are different, so I don't want people confusing them with each other.
You mentioned that each player has $1500 to spend, so I am going to make an outline on what I think your investments should be, please note that you still need to do research to see if this is the correct equipment for you.
